The hamlets of Massa Lubrense

The town of Massa Lubrense is composed by 17 hamlets, in addition to Massa, the chief one: Acquara, Annunziata, Casa, Marciano, Marina del Cantone, Marina della Lobra, Monticchio, Nerano, Pastena, Puolo, Sant'Agata sui due Golfi, San Francesco, Santa Maria, Santa Maria della Neve, Schiazzano, Termini and Torca.

Among these, the most important are Marina della Lobra, a nice a fishing village with its houses built on the beach and at the little port, in the very heart of the Punta Campanella Marine Reserve; Termini, the last hamlet of Massa lubrense before reaching Punta Campanella, dominated by Mount San Costanzo, at the feet of which there is the Bay of Jeranto, a suggestive rocky cove, today property of the FAI (Italian Environmental Foundation), who insures its environmental integrity. Sant'Agata sui due Golfi (Saint Agatha on the Two Gulfs), located in a magnificent panoramic position over the gulfs on Naples and Salerno, was the favourite resort of the Neapolitan nobility during the XIX century; Nerano, a picturesque village with its houses and terraces that come down towards the sea, from which, through a tortuous road you can reach Marina del Cantone, with its beach of smooth pebbles overlooking the Gulf of Salerno.
